The sobering bit about playing "Ugly!" happened to a mate of mine in a nightclub called "The Fusion" in Aberdeen.
He asked this particular lady for a dance, she agreed and then on the dance-floor she said with a leer "You're playing 'Ugly!' aren't you?"
His immediate and gentlemanly denial was met with "Don't worry. I'm not offended, 'cos me and my mates are playing 'Ugly!' as well."
He would have got away with it, but one of the lads overheard the conversation and nearly gave himself hernia laughing!
