Just a quick brewlog for my newest brew which uses Wilkos' 'Delicate Pilsner' as a base. Bought this tin whilst it was on sale as a quick beer to be done around Christmas - bottled last week and already tasting great.

The recipe is as follows:

Tin of Wilkos Delicate Pilsner
500g Light DME
250g Dark Muscavado Sugar
5-6 Black Peppercorns (bashed/cracked a bit)

60g Tettnanger Hops
15g Williamette Hops (both dryhopped straight into the primary after about 5 days)

I then topped the brew up to 15L to get a slightly heavier/heartier beer out of the pilsner base. I chucked the peppercorns in the primary at the beginning and then the hops a few days later. Beer was cloudy when bottling but that doesn't bother me.

Tried a bit last night and it's got a great spicy sweetness. Turned my nose up at the wilkos kits before due to bad experiences, but would definitely use this particular one again.

Cheers! :drunk:

Sounds good.

Peppercorns, nice

I use the Wilko kits both as are and modified. Not had a bad one yet.
