The house I'm in warms up a bit too much in the summer so may have problems keeping ferment temps down and conditioning.

I also don't have room for another fridge so looked at the cooler bags in the thread here using ice.
But now there is another option - Peltier coolers.

I have some kingspan sheet so could make a box and put one (or two) of these electric coolers in the top as a "cold hat" which should work as a DIY fridge.

Just seems easier to control than running around with blocks of ice.

The tiny drinks fridges use these so if you see one of those cheap you could rip it out - or stick it on the top with the door removed. :)

The peltier plates are available separately if you want to go deeper into the diy route and stick many more on a plate. Scrap PC heatinks are quite cheap - along with PC fans.

If you only need to drop 5 degrees or so it may be an answer.
