What differences in flavour profile could you expext from the Yorkshire 2 strain and the Thames valley 3 strain?

Anyone with experience of one or both?

I haven't tried these, but the TV3 has moderate to high ester ability and the Y2 has low ester ability; so my understanding is that you would get more flavours from the TV3 and a cleaner taste from the Y2, although I would be good to hear from someone ;) with a bit more knowledge on the subject.

I used the TV2 in a strong mild, which came out very nice, it has a predominant liquorice flavour, although that is mellowing over time.

You can always ask Brewlabs to recommend a yeast for whatever you are brewing, they have loads of yeasts that aren't on their website list.

Good luck
