Ok guys here goes. Just about to pimp up a standard beer kit.


I've add 7 Ltrs of water which is just heating up.
Grains 1 kg of Maris otter.
50g Crystal 120

Will 7 Ltrs be enough and what temp will I need to get to. No mash tun just a bag. Going to put quilt over once reach temp

15g simcoe at 60 mins
500g light DME
500g Meduim DME


25g Ahtanum at 20 mins
15g Nelson Sauvin at 15 mins

10g Simcoe 10 mins
1tsp Irish moss 10mins

Then add in the coopers English Bitter kit to fermenter

Using Safale US-05

Note to self. Don't start brewing at 23:30 when working in the morning.

Nice brewday. Yeh that's the trouble. As soon as you start mashing in it takes so long. :cheers:
 
That was way too late to start but did enjoy doing it.

Plan to leave for 2 extra days in primary after fermentation has stopped. For diacetyl rest. Don't no if I need to but I'm sure it will not hurt anything.

Then ten days in secondary with

50g - 75g of each hop. For dry hopping . Is that too much though
 
Well krausen forming and smells amazing. But very low activity from the air lock positive pressure but only 1 very small bubble every minute or so.

Primary has now almost complete 10 days in. Which had very weird airlock activity.

I'm going to dry hop in secondary. But
should I wait until primary has completed

Wait until primary had completed and wait a few days for rest.

Or just transfer straight away
