This is my staple white wine and no complaints. However, I had 30 grams of oak chips from maturing some white wine for 3 months which I recovered and added to the must this time. The must turned alarmingly milky but cleared in the usual way and the flavour was so much improved that my highly critical partner pronounced it as my best white wine yet. Not bad for a cheap 7 day wine kit!
 
What tastes and smells did it bring to the wine that weren't there before?
