Decided I needed some tasty estery loveliness. Nice balance to the dark, sweeter beers I have planned for December ( yep, its coming around again 🎅)

Was short on Styrian Golding's so used some EKG instead. Since found out that Styrian Golding's is fuggles grown in Slovenia or wherever, so could have used those instead.

From brewers friend, which goes on a bit........

Batch Size: 9 liters
ABV (planned): 5.1%

FERMENTABLES:
1500 g - Belgian - Pilsner (75%)
400 g - German - Vienna (20%)
100 g - United Kingdom - Wheat (5%)

HOPS:
5 g - East Kent Goldings, Type: Leaf/Whole, AA: 5, Use: Boil for 60 min, IBU: 6.81
20 g - Styrian Goldings, Type: Leaf/Whole, AA: 2.2, Use: Boil for 60 min, IBU: 11.99
10 g - Styrian Goldings, Type: Leaf/Whole, AA: 2.2, Use: Boil for 15 min, IBU: 2.97
10 g - Styrian Goldings, Type: Leaf/Whole, AA: 2.2, Use: Boil for 0 min

MASH GUIDELINES:
1) Temperature, Temp: 69C falling to 63 C
Time: 60 min, Amount: 6.3 L

OTHER INGREDIENTS:
1 g - Irish moss, Time: 10 min, Type: Fining, Use: Boil
0.1 g - Yeast nutrient, Time: 10 min, Type: Other, Use: Boil

YEAST:
Danstar - Belle Saison Yeast, 1/2 packet
Been fermenting for 3/4 days, looks very active.

Efficiency: 76%
 
Brew day went well, thanks fella.

Strong fermentation which is just starting to slow and clear now.

Saison is on the right...
