8am and the boiler was on getting water up to temperature :thumb:

Really nice morning, MrsC has gone to see the 'wicked witch of the west'

so now in the mash tun the grains having a good soak, after a comment from Alistair thought I'd do a Riggwelter ready for Autumn :thumb:

4220 Pale malt
495 Torrefied wheat
385 sugar
330 crystal malt
105 chocolate malt

23g challenger
23 progress
12 fuggles

last 10 mins 19 EKG

yeast safeale 5

og should be 1056
fg should be 1011
ABV 6%

and if it's anything like the last brew of this I did, it'll be stunning :thumb:

Looking good Barry :thumb: . I want to do an old malty ale for the autumn around 6%. I'm going to do something like my bitter with some choc malt in it somewhere in between my bitter and barley wine. Need to get another bitter on first though.

This is going to be buried in a corner and left for six months ;)

..... until I find it in a while and can't resist a sample
