right here we go used this recipy it looks like pale ale thing if yoou know wot i mean it is sitting in bin no yeast yet wot shel i do tip it down the drain ????? wots wrong with it ???????? :wha:

Those quantities in the pic don't look right?
350grm of black where is it looks more like choc malt than black malt????
All the piles look small 580grm is a bag and a bit which should look higher

To me everything is pointing to low quantities of malts.
Just run it through beer smith with 58grm and 38grms for the extra malts and it works out brown with an OG of 1.066

I think you missed the fact it says 0.58KG not Grams your malts should of been ten times larger :shock:
you've now got a very bitter bitter not a stout.
 
Don't pour it away, you'll still end up with a nice beer, just not what you wanted.
 
Taz,you've just chucked a load of decent IPA down the pan,why not just ferment it anyway,you can always chuck it later if you don't like it.Stupid boy!

If this is indeed what happened I can understand it as when I first used BeerSmith2 it confused me as well. You can remedy this by changing the decimal place to 3 figures. Being American they don't bother with metric so the defaults in the program are 2 places.
