I cut a length of silicone tubing to use for transfer from my FV to bottling bucket. It was totally straight before I cut it, but as soon as I cut it, it went circular and doesn't really do the job as I 'd hoped.

I think I saw someone recommend a type of tube that didn't curl, but can't find the thread. Please could somebody recommend...

Also, I'm not entirely sure what diameter tubing I need. I have 2 types of taps

1. is the one that came with the Little Bottler (~12mm at widest point).
2. the other is a much wider tap that came with a Young's wide neck fermenter (~17mm at widest point).

If anyone uses either of these, and can tell me what diameter tubing to get, I'd be very grateful.

Also, when you measure tubing diameter, is it the inner diameter (i.e. the diameter of the hole) or the outer diameter (i.e. including the thickness of the tubing)?

Sorry for the stupid questions.
