I was just about to buy my A.G. set up when all of my saved up money had to be used on the house. I have instructions off Jims Beer Kit for mash tuns, what I need is an idiots instruction on how to build a cheap plastic 5 / 10 gallon boiler with kettle elements and a thermostat. Is there any kind soul on here who can help me out so I can get A.G. brewing?
Many thanks

Hi Richy, Been down this route myself there's a few good threads further down this threads list on boilers etc, or have a look at this it can be made with any size pot and either plastic or SS.
Look Here

I myself have now gone to a SS keg and will be gas fired.

Hi R,

Kettle elements generally require a 40mm hole to be drilled in the bucket, taps are usually 20mm but can vary.
It would probably be cheapest for you to buy a tap and bucket from somewhere like the H&G, and do the elements yourself.
You won't need a thermostat on a boiler as it only has to boil.
