Wandering thru the home brew section of Gardiner Haskins on Friday I picked up a couple of these kits for the princely sum of £2.99 each as they were getting close to the sell by date (June 2016).

Since I was cleaning the latest batch of used bottles this morning anyway I did the primary & bits so I could start them off - Good instructions, comes with a bag of oak sawdust .. ok, Ill try anything once .. mixed & pitched yeast @ 25'c - job done & its not even 10am.

Starting @ 1.08 +- which is dead on where it should be - will update in a week or so.

Yes - I know - Stove needs a clean.

So a week and a bit on, Gravity @ 1.01 +- so transferred to the secondaries for a couple of weeks to finish off.

Looking promising - sawdust is mildy irritating to clean out of the primary but other than that all is going well & theres space to start some more beer over the long weekend ! Huzza !
