raisins for concentrate

i would like to know can you swap grape concentrate for raisins as i can only get conc. online in ireland( not very practical) ive read some recipes that say conc. or raisins , but then some that say conc. only.
is there a formula to work out how much raisins instead of conc to use.

Yes you can swap conc. for raisins or sultanas.....8oz approx equal to a small tin.

Sugar equivalence
Pure honey: 450 grams contains about 400 grams of natural sugar
Pure grape juice (white or red): 500ml contains about 110g of natural sugar
Concentrated grape juice: 500ml contains about 450g of natural sugar
Raisins or sultanas: 450g contains about 300g natural sugar

Hmm....not the stuff I buy, Tesco's Pure pressed white grape juice contains 166g per litre and the red is only 125g per litre.

I stand corrected! This list comes from the seventies, in Ian Ball's "Wine making the natural way" - perhaps supermarket fruit juices have changed since then - who knows? Alternatively Ian might just be referring to the fructose content, or the fermentable sugar content - I'm not sure.
