Thats what I have come up with - I want to steer away from Crystal in this, i dont like it in Scottish ales. I'm trying to come up with something with a good bit of malt flavour, not bitter but not sweet either. I want a balanced malty, easy drinking authentic Scottish 70 bob ale! Although, I do like me hops, so sneaked in a second addition at 30 mins just to give a wee hint of hops.

Looks good :thumb: its funny ive dropped the Crystal in my last two brews and added some Munich, been getting a lovely ale with great body and head retention

Cheers! Will get it on this weekend - Hopefully the brewstore has the Edinburgh Liquid Yeast in stock!

I think that will work. It should also give a colour closer to what I remember some of the 70 & 80/-s were in the 70's. Let us know how it works out...I may give it a go for my next 'Scottish' brew.
