It's been nearly a year since I brewed my partial mash flemish red(ish) brew and it's been sitting in the shed gently doing it's thing ever since. Today I bottled most of it but decided to go a bit more insane with some of it.
I've put ~4l into a demijohn with 700g of frozen raspberries and another ~4l into another demijohn with about 1kg of cherries from a jar. I plan to give these batches a month or so and then see how they are getting on.
Obviously I'm sampling the beer, it's no where near as sour as I was expecting and doesn't seem at all vinegar like (one more piece of evidence for plastic buckets being fine). Very definate Bret character is predominant and all hop characteristics have vanished. In general a nice beer.
Off to the beer festival in an hour but I think I've already drunk the most unusual beer of the day.....
