Beer porn indeed!

Is that one of those lockable shelves with the shutters? Would love something like that only i fear the missus will confiscate the keys!

They certainly are brizleciderarmy, Managed to bag a few before work scrapped them all, got 2 more cupbards stacked in the corner and 3 sets of lockable draws for the equipment.... serves a purpose though as its all in a garage where i work on classic cars, lots of welding and grinding. The shutters stop all the dust :thumb:

I love this thread, it's definitely being shown as evidence to SWMBO next time she complains, to prove that my stash isn't actually "THAT" big.

6 gallon Cab/Merlot?? recipe please :D :thumb:

They are Paklab kits for Amazon that I modified, one a European Carbernet Sauv. One a Chillian Merlot.
The Cab Sauv had added sugar and 350g elderberries to 13.5% ABV, with 10 days of powdered oak.
The Merlot had added sugar and 250g elderberries to 12.5% ABV with one week on oak chippings.
The Cab Sauv was bulk aged for 2 months before adding 20% of the month old Merlot, after a blending and tasting session
and has now been aging for a further month. The Cab Sauv would have stood more Merlot, but as the Merlot was that good on it's own and I had another Merlot kit i didn't want to sacrifice it all at this stage. It is very good and a clone for the Turner Road Merlot Reserve at £10 a bottle :thumb: :thumb:
(The balance of the Merlot is now in a wine bag-in-the box for imediate consumption. :D )
The other merlot kit will be going on tonight and at a later stage with more blending and tasting I will further divide up and blend the two wines together up to a 50/50 mix.
So at the moment I have a superb fresh easy drinking fruity Merlot and a slightly new oaky Cabernet merlot with the fruit nose of the merlot but with much more depth, 6 more months bulk aging will bring it up right up there.

At the end of the year, I hope to end up with 3 or 4 very nice but distinctly different bordeaux style reds :D

Someone's shown their ****

Sorry Oldstout but I just don't get you, firstly you are rude to me saying I talk a good talk and mention something about fusel alcohol and you continue to mention my name to try and goad me into posting up pictures of my beer. In the mean time the previous post seem have been erased by admin.

I don't get what your problem is why keep mentioning Fusel Alcohol perhaps you can enlighten me, because I haven't got a F*cking clue.

Chill out GA  suggest you re-read the posts before deciding who has been rude to who ;)

And while you're on - you may like to tot up your own posts where you mention 'fusel acohol' - it's your baby and you mention it quite a bit on THF.... I simply like to think of it as your catchphrase

Pleased to see that despite not having enough time to picture your stash due to work, you manage to come up with ficticious pics to somewhat mock/hijack this rather enlightening thread - which incidently is starting to gather some sizeable views ;)

It's all good :thumb:
