I want to use a yeast to give a recipe a fruity aroma/flavour.

Can anyone recommend a strain or manufacturer?

I hear that some yeasts give a banana like flavour; others a pear like flavour. I quite like the idea of a pear like flavour, so factor this into your replies.

Thank you.

Wyeast 1469 gives a bit of pear flavour. The shepard neame strain I've just cultured up is very fruity going by the taste of the starter wort. It's bubbling away in a bitter atm

You could let me know how that goes MyQul.

Just took a gravity sample of my bitter and of course drank the sample. It's VERY fruity despite fermenting at 19C. Although that was the ambient temp in the brew bag so the actual temp in the FV could have been 3C-5C higher at the height of fermentation
