I've just racked off 5lts of red grape with Malina Raspberry cordial and I'm wondering if it's OK just to kick off a new batch in the same bottle, on top of the old lees. Would the yeast still be OK to use?

Cheers, I'd heard of beer makers doing it. I guess the only problem with wine might be if the previous fermentation stopped due to high alcohol levels and killed off the yeast. I don't think it was that high so I think I'll give it a go. I'm just waiting for my fruity syrup made from tinned strawberries and peaches to cool down.

The new brew is all bubbling away nicely, so no worries. Confirmed it works. Cheers all.
