Hi folks, I recently came across the Durden Park Beer Circle mentioned in some old posts here and people hold their recipes in high regard.

http://www.durdenparkbeer.org.uk/Recipes.html

I was curious about thier 1750 porter so threw the details into brewer's friend and the numbers seemed way off. OG was around 1.100 vs the 1.090 estimate and the 90 min boil with 42g fuggles gave over 100 IBUs. Are these right? They also seem to use a quite a large amount of speciality malts per gallon, but maybe that's needed in a porter thats 10+%.

Anyone got their book? Is it worth a buy for some old-style recipes?

Thanks
