Hi Chaps :cheers:
In a couple of weeks i would like to brew a black oatmeal thang :D
The Brew is intended for a summer bash :drunk:
For the guys that are more familiar with this stuff some advice and corrections would be most Grateful.... as in Dead :wha:

In the region of 24 gallon brew

Pale malt 18 kg
Flaked Barley 2 kg
Roasted Barley 1.5kg
Oatmeal 1kg ... This is Quakers Oats ? toast 130 deg 45 mins What gas mark is that?

Advice on Water Treatment Please ?

Mash 2 hrs

Challenger or EKG 260 grams depends what i have left... Boil for 2hrs

Irish moss

Target 1040 ish

SO4 pancake from previous brew

PS.... what does the Oatmeal bring to the flavour and will it clear?
 
Sorry Bones, I have no knowlege of the effects of oatmeal.
For water treatment, look in calculators at the top of the page.
 
Sounds great :thumb: interesting brew - i want to try something simular but i keep brewing pale hoppy brews :lol:
