Quick question for any Beersmith 2 users out there.

I downloaded this to use for designing new recipes and thought I'd check it out by plugging in a "known" recipe where I knew the expected OG/ABV etc.to see if the figures are correct.

I chose the Brew UK Proper Job clone recipe for a simple test as it only has extract (no grains) and the recipe has the expected OG and ABV (1.055 and 5.5% respectively). It uses 3Kg of light DME for a 20 litre batch.

I set up Beersmith to an Extract brew profile and plugged in the numbers. It seems to come out with an OG of 1.050 and probable ABV of 5.2%

Any idea why this comes out a bit on the low side? I'm worried that if I then use the software to come up with new recipies, they are going to be slightly out.
