Hi All,

I've got a brew scheduled to make a hoppy pale ale.

The Grain Bill for the recipe is

4.5KG of Maris Otter Pale Ale
300G of Munich
300G of Rolled Oats
500G Sugar

During the boil there's a ton of hops added (Citra, Mosaic and Amarillo)

The OG is meant to be between 1.058 - 1.062 and finishing at 1.006 - 1.010

It doesn't say in the recipe where or when to add the sugar. I was thinking as it makes up the grain bill it should be in the mash but I've not read this being the done thing when I've searched.

Any ideas?

at the beginning or towards the end of the boil, as you wish. If you add it at the end you should get a slightly higher yield from the hops ... theoretically.

Great,

Thanks for the info. I'll add it just before I stick the cooler in so I can give it a good stir round to dissolve.
