I have a plastic 5 gallon barrel that has developed a small leak above the line of the beer when full. It means the barrel will not maintain pressure. I thought of applying araldite to the inside of the barrel but don't know if anyone has an alternative tried and tested solution.

jb weld is supposed to be food grade when set or could you drill a hole and use a nice stainless bolt and a couple of sealing washers?

imho bin it, or use it as a priming bucket.

u may fix it for 1 or 2 brews but if the vessel is ruptured it will be a weak spot and will fail and leak again..

and take it from me a hot knife to remelt it wont work long term either..

at least if u stop using it now it will spoil only the one batch rather than this one And the next (at some point)
