Has anyone tried lightly toasting some of H&B rye/barley/millet flakes and adding them to a brew?

I'm making the assumption that you'd have to do a mini-mashi water with them before adding them later on?

No but toasted porridge oats (not the instant) can be toasted for a stout or dark ale or left pale, i used them in my pale ale. You have to do a glucan rest which is a mini mash at 40 c for 30 minutes with 10% pale malt ie for every kg of oats you use 100g of pale malt.
