G'day all.
I was wondering if anyone reused their yeast from a cider or wine.
I was planning on re using some beer yeast soon, so I watched some youtube videos of how it's done.
Then when I made a cider a couple of weeks ago I thought I'd try reusing the yeast on that. On the videos for beer yeast it seems the trub, yeast and water/beer
settle out into different layers that are quite visible. The cider yeast that I rinsed yesterday has settled. However I'm beginning to think that there's no trub as such.
Here's a couple of pics. Demijohn on it's side. Bits of lemon floating on top. Then clearish cider/water and then on the bottom I presume that's the yeast. No trub.
The demijohn is on it's side as I saw someone else do it like that. Easier to pour from once settled.
