So I put a Wilko Golden on today, normally if it comes with a manufacturers 6g pack of yeast I add 11g Safale-05 yeast and chuck the 6g pack in the cupboard. In this case I couldn't find any S-05 so I used a pack I found and the pack supplied, what do you think might happen? I think I'll probably get beer out of it, have to say though, I only made it 2hrs ago and already the airlock is going. Ho hum, time will tell!

BEER :drink:

Did you rehydrate the yeast before hand?

Using 2 different strains of yeast can give unique flavour to your beer. Like you said time will tell!! :thumb:

No, for once I didn't bother, I didn't have any cooled water, so I just sprinkled it on top like I always used to with no detrimental effects
