This used to be a fairly easy going Forum to talk about Homebrew.
However I have seen more stuff on politics on here in the last eight weeks than I have in the previous 24 months plus since I became a member. And as I have mentioned elsewhere some of the stuff got a bit nasty.
So I'm beginning to feel a subscription only Politics section would be good for those interested in discussing and promoting their political views, which will keep it away from the rest of us, well, certainly me. It's not like I can't read, see or hear about it anywhere else.

It still is however this is the Snug and as the forum description says - This is the place for all non brewing chat.

We don't have a general election every 24 months so there was bound to be a lot of discussion about it especially the way she called it when she said she wouldn't, like football threads political ones can turn nasty and its our job to sort them if they do.

There is no need for a separate section if you do not like the look of the thread title dont' click on it, this one in particular couldn't have been more specific.

I couldnt agree with chippy more (and not because I'm part of the mod team). There's been a hell of a lot of things going on politically recently.;Brexit, general elections, terrorist attacks, the Grenfell tower fire (some of these things, technically aren't political but enevitably get politicised). It's only natural members are going to want to discuss these things.

It's easy enough to avoid the snug if members arent interested in any of this stuff

Anyway to comment on the thread title.
Absolute quality, that's the kind of politician I voted for, I know people will dig up a pile of **** on him which is the easy thing to do but this was a man of the people speaking to the people, imagine the spawn of Thatcher going on stage today 🤣 Never would have happened.
If there was a new election tomorrow JC would walk it, the times they are a changin

for every freebie he offers its someone elses debt

Somebody obscenely rich off the back of someone else. They can afford that debt. Unless you're in that little club don't thikn for a moment that the Tories are looking out for you.

youre delusional, the only ones going to pick that debt up is the very ones wanting the freebies in another 10 years time, they wont be championing corbyns name then.as a life long labour voter I suddenly woke up and realised that nothing is free in this life and has to be earned and that comes from a former AUEW convenor,ME:thumb:

The Tories were warned not to cut too deep and too fast we knew there were going to be tough times ahead but it didn't need to be as bad as they made it.

You say Labour would screw the economy have people forgot we are about to save 10 billion pounds a year being out of EU (quick Google)

Ooo that reminds me to catch up on iPlayer. See how the death metal stage went
Ok they're missing from the list. Played thursday. Mmm. Too raw for the BBC?
Oh but wait, least they've got dizzy raschal swearing over the mic in a brash and intimidating manner.

After being underwelmed by the Foo Fighters on bbc 2.Dave Grohl saying this gig was part of his healing process after braking a leg a few years ago. what a star. i think i had 7 weeks unpaid leave when i done my arm.Anyway, they were o.k . Bit too polished , dull rock for me. So i put radio 6 on. Lo and behold, a cracking show about the history of glasto , starting as a free festival with links to C. N .D. playing early Hawkwind, T rex and even Gong. sadly no tofu love frogs. i think a couple of thousand at the 1st festi. My partner has been to loads, in the 80s and said she never went to the main stage once, because there was loads of stuff going on all over the place.I'm sure it's still the same today. Not sure if i could handle 200 thousand people that seem to be going the opposite direction than me though.
