I was kind of persauded to do one of these new kits by my lhbs! I went in for a smugglers, I'd decided that would be my next one but she planted that seed of doubt in my mind, too much choice is a bad thing!

These kits are brand new apparently, & I was impressed by the amount of info on the box & it's contents. They have notes on smell, taste & bitterness, Which is handy. Contents wise... I've never seen such a comprehensive kit.

In the box is..... 2 bags of Malt (no extra sugar needed), yeast, a bag of hop pellets, a hop bag (for straining when syphoning) & a bag of carbonation sugar. So no more ingredients are required at all.
They're set to be the most expensive kit available so expectations are high.
Mine will be going in tommorrow.

Bottled tonight Got 45 500ml bottles out of it, the most I've ever got from a 40 pint kit. I put this down to the hop straining bag that goes over the syphon tube, it's strains incredibly small particles.
Anyway, tasted amazing.

Can't see how 3kg of liquid malt extract makes 23L of 4.5% ABV?

Well, I wouldn't know!
Especially as I'm a lazy bugger & can't be bothered to take hydro readings I have the feeling of 'it is what it is'. As long as it tastes nice that's all that's important.
IF I had taken readings I'd be able to confirm for you.
