Hi again. First brew going ok so far, transferred to pressure barrel and waiting for it to condition. :thumb:
I noticed I have a lot of sediment in the bottom of the primary fermentation vessel after siphoning out, and I feel that there must be ways of reusing it for something. Compost heap even, if there aren't any other suggestions...

This is a great way to re-use the trub if you don't live alone and have a cat;

*Get up each morning and empty litter tray without telling the person you live with
*after a week, tell the person you haven't changed the litter tray for a week, and ask if they've been doing it, which ofcourse they haven't.
*after another day or two, express concern and suggest taking the cat the vets
*the morning after, empty contents of FV into litter tray and leave for housemate to discover
*Sit back amused as they take Cat to the vets with a sample of your homebrew as a stool sample.

That's excellent young man!

You turned it into hair wax!

Now, tell me, what's that stuff on your toast? ;)
