The choice of yeast is probably the biggest single contributor to the taste of your beer so yes, it will taste different. I don't know the yeast in question but I'm sure you can find out the kind of flavours it might bring.debo said:
It's the Burton Union yeast. Each strain of yeast has it's own character, but some are mote different than others. It's a suitable yeast, and you may prefer the outcome, so do it. It won't spoil the beer for you. Trying different yeasts with kits is a great idea. Just like using different hops to dry hop. And steeping some grains. All good ways to vary and improve the beer.
