Evening all,

I've just started a Geordie Lager kit however due to the warm weather the lowest I can get the temp is 25℃. I know this is outside the range of 18-24℃ for primary fermentation so wanted to know if there would be a negative effect due to the high temp? Thanks in advance. :thumb:

You might be ok . It comes with ale yeast I believe so you can ferment at higher temps . But you risk off flavours ,I've got a cheap fridge off gumtree too brew Lager .and I use an old water butt too cut in half .float the fv in water around 18-20c and in the winter I use fish tank heaters to control the temp . but a lot of people on here use a old fridge with a heater controller .Good luck .

Try standing the FV is a big bucket/tray with some cold water in or wrap in a wet towel and keep re-wetting it.
