Evening, I'm after some advice as I'm having problems with my Hop Stopper.
I do BIAB in a 30l Burco - I fitted a ball valve and made a Hop Stopper from 15mm copper pipe that is bent around the circumference of the boiler. I drilled 2mm holes all over the underside of the pipe and it sits about 1cm off the bottom of the boiler.
For the first 3 brews it worked perfectly - once the boil was over I'd open the ball valve and the wort would drain straight to my FV with only about 1litre waste.
Since then (3 brews) on opening the ball valve then I get about 1 litre to move before nothing - I've been forced to tip the wort through a spare voile bag into the FV.
I've tried cleaning the Hop Stopper, immersing in boiling water, redrilled all the holes……..etc etc but it still has no flow.
Anybody any ideas? Many thanks.
