This is my first homebrew, my dad made a few 30 years ago but I have decided to give it a go.
Picked up some bits of equipment to go with the bits we already owned and got a Jubilee Ales premium Bitter kit from my local brew shop (Burnley Home Brew). Just got the FV away upstairs in a cupboard (not an airing cupboard) to maintain temp.
As my sink/kitchen is so far away from my FV, i attached my steralsied glass thermometer on some fishing line attached into the top of the FV so I can easily check the temp without taking the thermometer out of the FV and save having to run up and down stairs. Should this be ok?
Looking forward seeing how this goes.
