Not posted (or brewed) for a while so I thught I would as I've just created a recipe.

I love my hoppy beers and have had a great deal of success with Citra and NZ Cascade so I thought I'd try a different hop this time.

I looked through the freezer and found an unopened bag of Green Bullet. High alpha and a lovely smell.

Here's the recipe:

Grain bill
6kg Fawcett's Maris Otter

Hops
Green Bullet 30g @ 60 minutes
Chinook 9g @ 45 minutes
Green Bullet 15g @ 15 minutes
Green Bullet 25g @ 5 minutes
Green Bullet 30g at 0 minutes (steeped for 20 minutes)

Yeast
Safale S-05

This was Saturday and the aroma coming from the FV is fantastic.
Tried a little taste before throwing the yeast in and it's quite bitter so I think a little conditioning will help this one.

Can't wait to bottle and try it.

My head would blow up if I drank a beer with 63 IBU, I've got a really sweet tooth so tend to head the other way preferring /dark/malt focused beer like porter and stout (made my first oatmeal stout today ). 6%ABV too i see? Not a session beer then

Read a post on another forum by a guy who brewed a 120IBU IPA :electric: mind you it was 8%ABV to balance things out
