I'm currently brewing 2 brews - Nelsons Revenge and Coopers Stout. I have them in the hallway and they are sat at a steady 18deg C. Both have good krausen but I'm worried they might be too cool ? Is 18deg ok ?..

its a little cool but should be fine will just take a while longer to ferment out

What beefy said. As long as fermentation has started ok (the krausen means it has) it should be fine. Try to keep the temp fairly consistent and resist the urge to turn it up, yeast doesn't like big fluctuations.

Thanks chaps. I checked the stout SG this morning and it's at 1010 from an original starting of 1050. So I'm really pleased that it has fermented out in a week at 18-19 deg.
Next to check the Nelsons ....

Yeah is 18 is fine. It's a good temperature for a lot of ale yeasts.

I think I said this on another thread the other week - if you can keep it consistent that's the main aim. 18 will be fine if it doesn't get colder at night.
