Hi folks, i did a BIAB based on a marstons EPA a few weeks back, it fermented fine in 10 days, left it a fortnight just for the yeast to clean up after itself. But i noticed a smell when opening fermenter to take a fg reading something i have never smelt before in the couple of years i have been brewing, smells so much like vinegar BUT i kegged anyway hoping it isnt ruined.

Its been in the corny keg now for a week and the smell is still there!

Ive tasted it and im not sure if it has a bad taste or the smell is putting me off.

Can anyone suggest any ideas before i tip it?
Has anyone had an experience like this before? and what causes it so i can make sure it doesnt happen again?

Thanks in Advance.

it could be infected. If it tastes ok though it should be ok.If you notice a white cobweb like film on the beer its acetobacter and needs binning

There was no visual signs of infection on the beer in the fermenter just a vinegar smell which has not gone away yet in over a week. So getting rather concerned about it.
