Mr granddad sadly passed away on the 13th of Feb, and I decided to brew this ESB in memory of him.
His initials where EB and he was born in 1937, so the ESB is fitting.

Grain Bill:
5190g Marris Otter 85%
300g Torrified Wheat 5%
300g Crystal Malt 60 5%
300g Caramalt 5%

Hops:
66g Challenger 7.47% First Wort
40g Progress 6.78% 15 min
32g East Kent Goldings 5.95% 80c steep
Irish Moss 15 minutes
Mash at 67°C for 75 minutes
Boil for 60 min.
20g PH5.2

Yeast:
Ossett Brewery Thwaites Strain
Ferment at 20°C
Brewed to 27liters
IBU:60

SG: 1050
FG: 1010

ABV: 5.2%

Sorry to hear of your loss. It is difficult to know quite what to say sometimes as an outsider.

It does, it must be said, look like a staunch effort as a rememberance. I'm sure he would be touched by the gesture.
