Hello all,
I have a question, I made some elderberry wine, but the following day had to rush off back to uni. That was 6 months ago and I'm finally back home. The container that the wine was made in has a lid but it's not sealed. It still smells and tastes alright, but I've never had elderberry wine so don't know what it's supposed to taste like. My question is should I carry on with it or should I chuck it. Any help would be much appreciated, cheers.

In cases like this, I'd still go ahead and rack to a carboy, let it clear and bottle. If it smells ok then it should be ok. It'd be a pity to waste all that effort ;-)
