Greetings brew-sketeers,

Further to having my interest piqued many moons ago I am finally the owner of:

1 large cellar
1 Cygnet Tea Urn (18L)
1 Cool box
Several meters of copper pipe
1 brew barrel
1 of them air-trap thingys
1 aquarium heater
1 thermometer and hydrometer kit
1 bag of malt
1 bag of hops
1 tub of Moss
1 packet of yeast
40 empty 500ml brown bottles

Just need to buy a tap / seal then do a spot of pipe work for my cool box draining thingy then I think I'm good to go for my first crack at home brewing... so what can go wrong, what do I need to make sure I do (or don't do?)...

Bring on the ale!!

Get a good recipe and good yeast and make sure you know exactly what you are going to do! Ferment as close to the right temperature as possible. Sanitise meticulously. Sanitation and fermentation/yeast are the main keys to good beer.
