Northumbrian Homebrew Shops

As a newbie, I've been relying on online shops and Wilkos for supplies.

I was wondering if any one here knew of any Homebrew shops in Northumberland?

Hi, the closest one I've found is Whitley Bay. Elderberry wine and beer I think its called. They have a good range of stuff but no real online presence so if you want something in particular you need to ring first.

Do you mean wilko in Newcastle ? Just discovered it a couple of weeks ago, quite basic stuff there really.

I live close to Hexham and I can't help thinking there is enough demand to have one there. I've even been thinking of openning a shop myself but I think one of the main attractions of a HBS is knowledge and I'm still a newbie.

I went to the Wilko in Cramlington, I live in Morpeth see.

Wilko is the only shop I can get my gear from, but i'll give this one in Whitely Bay a try.

I agree, we lack a good shop around these parts

Bit of market research then, would you travel to Hexham for your home brew stuff ?
