What are the main benefits of a Graindad over the usual ways of making beer at home?

- Ease of use. Single vessel, all temp management handled etc.
- Less space needed.
- Easier clean up (no easier than BIAB I guess).
- Great efficiency if that's your kind of thing
- Consistency...apparently. I'll offer more thoughts on that in a couple of months.

Oh, and it's shiny!

I saw one in the flesh last week in a HBS. I can confirm the shinyness. :thumb:

I've just done my 3rd low-volume BIAB, got up to 14L but beyond this I'm going to need more kit as the volume of wort is too heavy to shift as is the weight of the grain bag. I'm not going to get away with some of the setups I've seen if I go for higher volume, just wondering if this would be easier with a Grainfather - I'm tempted.

We're in process of getting extension built onto our house. The Boss has indicated if I can trim £600 off the budget, then I can buy a Grainfather. What an incentive! I'm sure a few savings can be found
