looking at one of the Powell brewery sets

not a lot of experience bu scientist by trade so hope to blag my way through the technical stuff

brew days will be in shed, perhaps moving to utility room from fermentation stages if ambient temperature fluctuation proves a problem

I've recently started BIAB brewing and have a 30 litre boiler. You'd think that would be big enough for doing 23L brews but so far I've had a boilover every time. Not a lot wasted but it has been messy (and just as well the Mrs hasn't been around to see it).

Best advice I got from Ian at the CopperKettle was go for a 60 litre boiler. Thought at the time this was OTT. But his advice was soon proved correct. My preboil amount is normally 35 litres. I often watch the hot break edge up towards the top. Never had a boil over though.
