Had a delivery yesterday and as I felt a bit crappy today thought I'd hide in the kitchen and get a brew on in my 19l stockpot. I'd primarily used Citra for dry-hopping kits so thought I would do a Citra only brew.

Grain bill.
2.5kg Maris Otter
100g Crystal
50g Caramalt

Hops
5g Citra @ 90
5g Citra @ 60
8g Citra @ 30
10g Citra @ 10
Total ibus calculated as 48, so not bonkers, but should be refreshing enough.

140 (doing other stuff as well) minute mash @ 67℃ to start which dropped to 66℃.
Did what seemed like an effective dunk sparge with 5l 80℃ water.

Ended up with 15 litres at 1.050 which I'm very happy with, probably all down to a healthy sparge.
Will prob add an amount of Citra as dry hop later in the ferment. Currently chilling down and will pitch US-05 when it's down to 25℃.

Cheers

Ha,! Can you hop ciders? My brother is the cidermaker...I wonder...hmmm

Wow - down to 1.013 already! US-05 is such a beast. Another few days then it'll be cold floor time for this. 10g Citra thrown in tonight.
