Ok, so this is my first attempt at brewing anything, I have a home brew cider and wine kit. It came with 2 packets of cider yeast.

I've followed the recipe for nettle beer (unmalted) but topped up the lemon, ginger, water and suger to make it 8L rather than 1gal.

When it got to the yeast part I added my 5g of cider yeast... Because I have no beer yeast or patience for Amazon to deliver it, so... Sod it. It's all currently sat in my man cave for the next few days to ferment.

I'll update as I go.

Ps: I can't find info anywhere about subbing beer yeast with cider yeast, I imagine it will just make it a bit drier and possibly higher alcohol content?
