I hope it goes well but my ridbena wine took weeks to ferment and was still over 1000 when i binned it, the recipe said to boil for 15 minutes which i did, it was the slowest fermentation i have ever had so i am not convinced it gets rid of it.

I started mine last week (regular ribena) and not a spark of fermentation yet, will give it a few more days but I'm not confident 😕

I have just read you binned it, i have a feeling Toredan will be doing the same unless he has the patience of a saint.

Ribena is designed to prevent fermentation. Boiling does not destroy the preservatives. A cheaper and preservative free alternative is Polish blackcurrant syrup. I have tried it and it works straight out of the bottle.

Seems to be doing ok so far :)

It will ferment but it slows over time and usually stops early, you end up with a very sweet wine with low ABV.
