hi guys

would releasing some air from an over carbed batch help reduce head retention? its not a major issue but I like pouring all the beer out in one go as not to keep disturbing the sediment.

cheers for any quick fix advise

Chris

is it in bottles?

whatever it's stored in superchilling the beer will reduce the foam. Apparently wetting the glass is a technique used to control the head on fizzy belgian beers.

pour at a slow and low angle as that will make a difference.

best of luck.

hi guys
would releasing some air from a batch of over primed beers help reduce head retention.?

couldn't find anything online

cheers

great advise thanks mate I do notice the second pint poured is sometimes less frothy. cheers

that's great advise. ill have to get the priming sugar down to 120g for future catches.
can a third week in 20c be a bit of a contributor too?
