How can I be sure that secondary fermentation has taken place. I transferred a wherry into secondary on the 14th July. I added 100g brewing sugar first. When I took some out yesterday from tap on pv the beer was very heady and not very clear, does it sound ok? :-?
 
You are a little bit early. A week and a half is not long enough. Personally, I try and leave it up to a month before drinking. After putting in to the pressure barrel leave it somewhere warm for two weeks then chill for two weeks. The longer you leave it the clearer it will get. Patience is the hardest part of brewing.....
