Evening all

Followed fatdad's Mead recipe and popped on a wee wow while I was at it

Both experimental downsized batches, my first time making 5L batches 😀

Both look rather unfortunately like wee, but hopefully not taste like it 😅

Aye, the recipe i followed said 30 days in primary so seeing as it's in a 'spare' fermenter... I'm not in a great rush (for once) 😃

My mead had almost cleared but wondered about the best bet to take an SG reading.. just chuck the hydrometer into the bottle ?

Hoping it won't go so far in that I can't grab it out haha

White grape and peach hanging around at 1.050 😕

White grape one is still lingering around 1.040 despite being on the go for a month... what's that all about ?

The rgj/cherry 25L is almost finished after less than a week...

I put another tsp of yswyc in last night, but its cards are marked !

Put more nutrient in! Although youngs super yeast might not be upto the task for the abv you might be aming for.
 
Och... still the same

Think I'll launch the wow and maybe deal with the mead...

Don't think I'll bother with small quantities again though, seems like almost as much work (exc bottling) than for a 25L batch

Bottled mead today, stopped at 1.020 so about 12.5% abv

I haven't done the usual stabiliser etc.. cos it's been a while (3 months) fermenting and certainly doesn't need clearing haha
