Paint chipped off paint stirrer

Hi All. I normally give the wort a good aeration once its cooled with a drill and a paint stirrer but I'm doing a new tomorrow and I've noticed the coating on the stirrer is chipped (see picture). Is using it going to do more harm than good? If I skip using it, will the wort get sufficient air just from the bubbling it gets as it pours from boiler to fermenter? TIA.

From a microbiological standpoint I don't see an issue. Just sanitize properly.

Just avoid hitting your container, as more might chip off.
 
Thought of using an aeration stone and a fish tank air pump?

There is what seems to be rust formed on the bottom where it's been chipped previously.I would soak it in coca cola as this done wonders for my motorcycle petrol tank and then sanitise or use the fish tank pump and aeration stone as advised.
