Ehm, never put any in my mouth though the synthesized methanoic acid used in the lab (same thing) has a very pungent odour to it. I wouldn't want that anywhere near my beer.
 
My brother had "ant cured" salmon at a semi posh restaurant we went to in Australia many years ago. The salmon still had the ants in amongst it. I tried a little bit, was nice enough, just like it had been cured with lemon juice really. Not sure I'll be rushing out to lob an ant hill into my brews though.
